The first annual Luxe Pack Los Angeles show will take place on February 7th and 8th, 2018—and it will be co-located with the third annual MakeUp in LosAngeles show. The event will take place at the Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica airport, which is conveniently located a short drive from the Los Angeles International airport.
The side-by-side shows will remain separate, organizers at InfoPro Digital say, and are joining forces as a result of the company’s recent acquisition of MakeUp In.
Luxe Pack is organized by Idice, a part of InfoPro Digital group, and presents creative, design, and technical innovations—plus trends for luxury industries, including the growing number of indie beauty brands that call the West Coast home.
More Than 50 Exhibitors
Visitors at the first annual Luxe Pack Los Angeles event will have the opportunity to meet with more than 50 packaging suppliers that have committed to being part of the show’s debut. Suppliers will feature glass, plastic, creative finishing services, luxury promotional products, sustainable materials, design services, digital technologies and printing solutions.
The show’s inaugural group of exhibitors includes ABA Packaging, Cameo Metal, Coverpla, CTL Packaging, Fusion Packaging, Iggesund, JSN Cosmetic Packaging, Neenah, Nest-Filler, Stora Enso North America and The Penthouse Group.
Conferences & More
Luxe Pack Los Angeles is bringing a few of its usual features to the West Coast, including its Innovation Wall and Turbo Talks, where exhibitors present a 2-minute pitch about a specific product or solution.
The show will also feature a conference program, most of which hasn’t been announced yet— however, representatives from Urban Decay, Estée Lauder and Euromonitor have already signed on.
They will address specific market challenges, such as how wellness is playing a role in the luxury market, the next level for sustainable packaging, and how social media is affecting tangible packaging concepts. Additional participants will be announced shortly, and will include experts from many sectors, including packaging teams from both coasts, discussing current issues affecting the industry.
Luxe Pack Los Angeles will also debut a new type of presentation that is designed to demonstrate the manufacturing and production process—the first-ever 360-degree Perspective Sessions. As part of the conference program, exhibitors will have the opportunity to co-present along with a brand to demonstrate the manufacturing process, from design concept to production.
A Convenient Pairing
Since MakeUp In showcases many trends in color cosmetics and formulations, including packaging, and Luxe Pack showcases packaging, the two shows seem to be a natural fit.
