Each year, Forbes, in partnership with the Small Giants Community, presents a definitive list of America’s Best Small Companies—a celebration of “25 privately owned businesses that have chosen to be great instead of big.” They are chosen based on factors including community involvement, commitment to staff and industry excellence. This year, Anisa International, founded by Anisa Telwar Kaicker, was chosen as one of these extraordinary 25 companies.
Telwar Kaicker tells Beauty Packaging: “This award reflects more than just our accomplishments, it reflects the culture we’ve created at Anisa International and the long-standing relationships we hold with our partners. We’re very honored to represent the beauty industry as a Forbes Small Giant and are so grateful to everyone who has supported us over the past 25 years.”
Asked about challenges she sees ahead in serving the beauty industry, Telwar Kaicker says, “Fast fashion and fast beauty are typically favored in our industry. However, I want to cultivate the importance of investing in quality tools.” She adds: “While trend-driven products are successful and needed, I feel that it is essential to invest in tools that are innovative, well-made and responsibly produced. This can be challenging as a manufacturer and sometimes it means less launches but more intentional products. For me, it always circles back to small giants doing big things.”
