ColorVera, the U.S.-based company, will start in the first half of 2019 its first makeup production unit in Europe. This 3,500 m² factory will be located on the outskirts of Milan in Monza, and will offer at first a production capacity of 1.5 to 2 tons per day of emulsions and 2 tons per day of powders. More than € 1 million was invested in this new production unit. In parallel, the Group will also focus on strengthening its foothold in the United States. Jean-Yves Bourgeois: Could you please give us some details on the origin and importance of your Group.
Alistair Beavan: The ColorVera Biotech Group was created in 2017. We are an OEM & ODM manufacturer of complete turnkey cosmetics, skincare and nail products. We are working on strengthening our global footprint in North America, Europe and Asia. We now have corporate offices in New York, a global R&D Center in Milan (Italy) and sales offices in Los Angeles and in the UK.
We have two major factories in Suzhou and Shanghai, China, with a 45,000 m² production area for standard products and Grade C clean rooms. We have all the inspection and testing facilities, 35 advanced automatic filling and packaging lines for primers, wax based and powder-based cosmetics, skincare products with a total production capability of hundreds of millions of pieces.
We produce all product lines (Wax based: lipsticks, lip pens, eyebrow pens, eyeliners, mascara, lipgloss; Powder based: pressed powders, baked powders, wet powders, loose powders; Water based: face cleansers, moisturizers; Cream based: BB creams, creams, eye creams, lotions).

Alistair Beavan: A select team of industry professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit. A forward-thinking mindset and decades of experience. Experts in every discipline in each of our facilities around the world. Our teams are constantly tuned on market opportunities, re-writing the rules “to make it happen.” The intelligence and creativity of our R&D department for devising winning formulas is the heart and driver of the company. Milan is going to be our global creativity center.
There will be more people working in the lab than in our accounting department.
