On April 26, Tokiwa Cosmetics America held a celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony for more than 100 industry guests at their new facility in Monroe Township, NJ. With over 152,000 sq. ft., this will serve as the company’s manufacturing hub for North America and Europe. Established in 1948, Tokiwa is a privately held company based in Tokyo Japan, highly regarded as a designer, manufacturer and provider of innovative, high-performance cosmetics.
More than $30 million will be spent to “renovate, re-imagine and reconstruct” the U.S. facility, along with investments in new machinery, equipment and working capital.
The products manufactured in this facility will be the same as those produced in Japan for domestic and global distribution. They include mechanical pencils, powders, eyeliners and foundations, plus mascaras, eyeshadows, lipsticks, brow products, concealers, hot pours, primers and more.
To meet clients’ individual needs, Tokiwa Cosmetics America will provide flexible services, such as creating and providing products on a total turnkey basis, including with their proprietary and patented formulations, componentry, packaging and filling, or on a contract manufacturing basis, based on individual requirements.
