The 32nd edition of Luxe Pack Monaco will take place September 30th through October 2nd, 2019 at the Grimaldi Forum, with 470 exhibitors. The glamorous b2b show features all luxury sectors, including fragrance, cosmetics, spirits and more.
There are more than 30 new first-time exhibitors this year, selected for their expertise and innovations. They include Edwanex Glassworks, Flosty Pack Republic, The Hologram Company, Superga Beauty, the Silver Crane Company and Sibra.
A ‘Greener’ Year
Since the beauty industry is striving to be more “green,” Luxe Pack is as well. In partnership with the Grimaldi Forum, the building will be supplied with 100% green energy this year. A total of 2,470 square meters of photovoltaic solar panels have been installed on the roof.
Other eco-friendly changes include the use of low-consumption lamps for 81% of the venue’s lighting, the use of eco-certified cleaning products, new waste-sorting and recycling systems; in addition, badge holders will be collected for re-use.
A Special Design Presentation
Designer and visionary Ross Lovegrove will give a special presentation this year titled “Beauty & Logic.” It takes place in the Atrium Hall on Monday, September 30th at 2:30 pm.
Lovegrove will discuss his past projects and his personal “criteria of excellence” in package design. Much of his past work is often referenced in various industries, from champagne to makeup and fragrance. Juan Mantilla, head of design, Kiko Cosmetics, will join Lovegrove.
A Focus on the Middle East
Luxe Pack Monaco will feature Joelle Mardinian, a beauty expert-turned-celebrity-entrepreneur who founded the skincare and hair care company, Joelle Paris. Mardinian promotes well-being and a balanced lifestyle, and is a Middle East brand ambassador for Evian and Dyson. She has also represented Max Factor and Pantene. Mardinian will speak during two conferences on Monday, September 30th.
Conferences Focus on Innovation & Sustainable Development
Two roundtable discussions focusing on innovation and sustainable development will take place on Tuesday, October 1st. They will be led by Diana Verde Nieto, founder and director, The Butterfly Mark.
The discussion topics are “What do brands expect from suppliers?” and “Is re-useable packaging the solution?”
The Luxe Pack in Green Awards
The annual Luxe Pack in Green Awards will be presented at 5:30 pm in the Atrium Hall on Tuesday, October 1st.
This year’s panel includes Geraldine Vallejo, sustainability program director, Kering Group; Sandrine Noel, environmental director, Louis Vuitton; Uwe Melichar, chairman of European Brand and Package Design Association, and more.
