Nancy Mahon has been appointed as The Estée Lauder Companies’ first Chief Sustainability Officer. She previously served as senior vice president, Global Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability. According to ELC, “this change reflects the ongoing evolution of ELC’s ambitions and capabilities in the sustainability space.”
As the company’s CSO, Mahon will continue to focus on the strategic integration and implementation of ELC’s sustainability initiatives, as well as ESG reporting across the organization. She will also continue to serve as executive director of ELC’s Charitable Foundation, and will also remain a member of ELC’s ESG Management Committee.
Sara Moss, vice chairman of The Estée Lauder Companies, will retire effective July 1 after a distinguished career. She joined ELC in 2003 as executive vice president and general counsel.
She led the company’s global legal function for more than 15 years driving many acquisitions, investments, brand licensees, and notably, the legal function’s initial international expansion into Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
