Estée Lauder Companies is searching for India’s next big beauty entrepreneur—and partnering with Nykaa, India’s largest beauty e-commerce platform, to create a new initiative.
ELC and Nykaa will launch an incubator for Indian beauty entrepreneurs called “Beauty & You.”
Anchit Nayar, CEO of beauty e-commerce for Nykaa, told Vogue Business, “it’s the perfect time for us to identify the next generation of entrepreneurs who can carry the flag of Indian beauty beauty brands…”
“Beauty & You” will support entrepreneurs and companies that are focusing on India’s beauty consumers. The program will offer guidance to selected brands, on everything from product development to marketing and finance. The panel of judges and mentors will include Nicola Kilner, co-founder and CEO of Deciem.
To be considered for the program, a beauty brand can be newly launched, or still in the pre-market stage. Five-hundred thousand dollars will be awarded—and shared among the beauty brands with the most inoavtive ideas.
