Today is National Lipstick Day - and London's Heathrow airport is promoting its first-ever "Lipstick Colors of the Year" report, in compiled in collaboration with World Duty Free.

What does an airport have to do with makeup? Heathrow is one of the world's largets airports, and says it is a "beauty mecca," with more than 120 beauty brands - including exactly 1,451 lipsticks - sold under its roof. 

The report analyzed 50 stylish destinations international destinations that cna be reached from Heathrow airport, and the lipstick color most popular in each city.

So which lipstick colors made the list?

Classic Red is most popular in New York, Caramel Nude ranks first in London, and Dusky Rose wins in Paris.

Golden Plum is most popular in Rome, Bright Fuschia in both Milan and Athens, Dusky Nude in Sao Paulo, Creamy Nude in Barcelona, and Rose Pink in Dubai.

Orange Red ranks most popular in Singapore, Sheer Coral in Shanghai, Coral Red in Seoul, Coral Pink in Hong Kong, Peachy Nude in Beijing and Pale Pink in Bangkok.

Bright Coral Orange is the winner in Las Vegas, Pale Rose Pink in Miami, and Rose Pink in Mexico City.
