Young Living Essential Oils is partnering with the Monell Chemical Senses Center, the world's only independent, non-profit scientific institute dedicated to basic research on taste and smell.
Young Living will donate its essential oils to help people regain their sense of smell, and suffering from a condition known as acquired anosmia. The company will also provide financial support to the Monell Chemical Senses Center, which is holding a Smell Training Workshop on June 22 in Philadelphia. Research shows that smell training helps to improve the condition.
"We are proud to support the Monell Center's commitment to helping people with acquired anosmia," said Dr. Michael Buch, Young Living Chief Science Officer. "This partnership is one example of our continued commitment to help people live life to its fullest through essential oils."
Leslie Stein, PhD, Monell's Director of Science Communications, adds, "As the leading scientific research institute focused on the sense of smell, Monell is dedicated to identifying potential treatments for and raising awareness of the invisible disability of anosmia. We are grateful for the support of Young Living Essential Oils in this vital mission."
