L'Oréal Canada has named a new Chief Marketing Officer -- Stéphanie Binette. Binette has contributed significantly to L'Oréal Canada's success over the past 10 years, the company says.
Beginning August 1, 2017, Binette will replace Stéphane Bérubé, current L'Oréal Canada CMO, who will be taking on a new role based in London as the L'Oréal Group's CMO for the Western Europe zone.
Binette's Achievements
The L'Oréal Paris brand is recognized in Canada as a leader in beauty, media as well as digital -- and the company says Binette played a key role in its success. She was promoted to General Manager for L'Oréal Paris in 2015, where she increased brand's growth and market share in all major categories and accelerated the digital transformation of the brand.
Prior, Binette was General Manager for Garnier-Maybelline-essie, since 2013. In 2010, Binette became Brand Manager of Maybelline New York and accelerated the brand's growth, making it the # 1 brand in cosmetics in Canada.
Before beginning her career at L'Oreal Canada, Binette worked for 10 years with multinational consumer goods companies in Montreal and Toronto.
Looking Ahead
Binette will continue the CMO mandate of managing L'Oréal Canada's marketing transformation in the digital era, the company states -- with three objectives: accelerating e-business, customizing the marketing approach and excellence in engaging Brands with consumers.
