Bormioli Luigi has announced a preliminary agreement for the acquisition of the tableware unit of Bormioli Rocco SpA. Bormioli Luigi has concluded this business deal in partnership with the Swedish investment fund, Triton, and will take possession at the end of the completion of sale, from the Pharma division of Bormioli Rocco SpA.
A definitive closing should come by November 30, 2017, followed by the formal approval of appropriate authority to finalize all details necessary for the separation of assets.
According to Simone Baratta, Prestige Perfumes business unit director, the acquisition “represents a key milestone for Bormioli Luigi, and our quest to grow our business through the diversification of industrial, human and technological resources, allowing us to develop an even greater potential in our main area of expertise, that of Perfumery and Cosmetics.”
Baratta says the immediate goal will be to promote the technical and organizational synergies among the two divisions, with the aim of increasing their presence in markets of key interest, such as Cosmetic Packaging, Home Fragrance and Decorative Candles.
“Our primary objective will be to integrate all new activities with complete competency and success, in order to offer our client base products with the level of quality, innovation and service to which they have always been accustomed,” says Baratta.
She adds: “I am certain that our concerted goal to grow and increase our presence in several diverse new cosmetic markets, while maintaining our foothold, globally, in the area of prestige fragrance glass packaging, will be viewed by our clients as a new benchmark of our solid partnership and desire to explore, together, new avenues of joint success and accomplishments.”
