Members of the New Jersey Packaging Executives Club’s judging committee met on September 28th to choose this year’s NJPEC Package of the Year winners.
The entire winners’ list hasn’t been revealed yet, but MW Luxury Packaging will take home the top prize — the 2017 NYPEC Package of the Year for the Estee Lauder Companies’ Victoria Beckham Collection (shown above). The Student's Choice winner is Jerhel Plastics for the Vortex Loose Powder Jar. The awards celebration takes place at a gala event on November 16th - details are below.
The NJPEC Package of the Year Awards recognizes outstanding packaging across nine categories, including Color Cosmetics, Personal Care, Fragrance, Health, Household, Industrial, Gift Sets, Promotional Packaging and Graphics.

The Judging Event
The judging event was held on September 28th at New York’s Schlesinger Associates Market Research, where four students from several colleges and universities mingled with industry executives at the judges’ table. Industry executives included Estee Lauder’s Jeremy Bond; Church & Dwight’s Ali Mikhtari, Revlon’s Brian Henry; J&J’s Anthony Garaguso; Avon’s Tricia Heinz; L’Oreal’s Joanne Vesper; Bayer Healthcare’s Remon Zakhary and Beauty Packaging’s publisher Jay Gorga. The judges’ panel discussed more than 70 entries before voting — and posed for the photos above.
Celebrate the Winners on November 16th
The industry will gather to celebrate the winners of the 39th annual NJPEC Package of the Year Awards at a gala celebration on November 16th. The event will be held at the Madison Hotel in Convent Station in New Jersey and will include an awards presentation, dinner, live music, gift bags and a tricky tray. All proceeds will benefit the NJPEC Packaging Scholarship fund. Tickets are available here.
