Goldman Sachs has named Beautycounter founder & CEO, Gregg Renfrew, as one of the “100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2017” at its Builders + Innovators Summit in Santa Barbara, CA. Renfrew was one of 100 entrepreneurs from multiple industries to be honored at the two-day event.
Renfrew founded Beautycounter in 2011 with a mission to get safer beauty and personal care products into everyone’s hands. She launched the brand as a Certified Benefit Corporation (B corp) in 2013, “leading the way in beauty by putting performance and health first.” Since founding the company, she has advocated for stronger federal regulations to ensure the safety of all skincare and cosmetic products. A direct-to-consumer brand (through multiple channels), Beautycounter is growing rapidly and says it is on target to sell 10 million products by the end of 2017.
Beautycounter products are available through more than 25,000 consultants across North America, online at Beautycounter.com, and through strategic partnerships including J.Crew and Target.
