Earth Mama Organics has launched a new product category -- Earth Mama Deodorant.

The company says it is specially formulated especially for pregnancy, breastfeeding, and sensitive skin -- and claims it is the first deodorant to target these consumers.

Earth Mama's deodorants are certified by Oregon Tilth, NSF/ANSI 305, and contains organic ingredients. They do not contain propylene glycol, parabens, aluminum, or any form of fragrance (artificial, natural, or botanical). 

The deodorant collection comes in three scents, made with essential oils: GingerAid, Bright Citrus, and Calming Lavender -- and a Natural Non-Scented. They are packaged in a 3 oz. stick, which is decorated with a label. Plus, there is a travel-friendly mini, and a mini deodorant 4-pack gift set.

Melinda Olson is the company's founder, formulator and CEO, and she is also a former nurse. Olsen says, "Pregnant women have long asked us for a deodorant they can trust, one that's not just natural, but organic — that actually works. So we made it."

Olson continues, "Women know that what a pregnant or breastfeeding mom puts on her skin goes in, and that her baby's head is in close proximity to her underarm while breastfeeding. Our bodies have brilliant filters (cue the lymphatic system!), but we may prefer not to flood them with a multitude of numbers of unknown chemicals. We made this deodorant for pregnant and breastfeeding moms, and all the other sensitive people types who just want a better deodorant with fully disclosed ingredients. Since we use essential oils instead of the ingredient known as fragrance, you get to know exactly what's in there – every ingredient is fully disclosed on our label."

The brand is promoting the new deodorant line on social media using the hashtags, #NoFword, referring to no Fragrance, and #LoveYourLymphNodes.
