Last month, Unilever acquired Schmidt's Naturals -- and the natural deodorant brand said it was expanding into toothpaste and bar soap.
Schmidt's Naturals' full line of natural toothpaste is now available, on the brand's website and in select retailers. The Tooth + Mouth Pastes collection features an unexpected ingredient list, including superfood extracts, vitamins, and magnolia bark extract -- plus, organic aloe leaf juice, tea tree, and CoQ10. The line excludes conventional and controversial toothpaste ingredients such as SLS, PEG, artificial sweeteners, flavors and dyes.
Schmidt's Naturals' co-founder Jaime Schmidt says, "Our customers are seeking effective, high-performing alternatives to traditional personal care products...with their preferences in mind, we focused on providing all the essential functions of a toothpaste, but taking it a step farther with supercharged vitamin and superfood ingredients to encourage overall mouth health."
Schmidt's Naturals, Michael Cammarata, co-founder/CEO, adds, "Schmidt's is pushing the category forward with products that prioritize significant technological and biological advancements in natural, using high-quality plant and mineral-derived ingredients. 'Natural' no longer has to be seen as reductive or overly simple—this is the next level of natural."
The line includes Wondermint, Activated Charcoal, Vanilla Chai, and Coconut + Lime. A new flavor will be revealed next month.
Schmidt's Naturals Tooth + Mouth Pastes retail for $5.99 on the brand's websote and in select retailers.
