The Fragrance Foundation (TFF) has announced Frédéric Malle as the 2018 Game Changer Honoree. The Game Changer award honors an individual who has made a significant change in the world of fragrance, and how consumers experience fragrance. TFF says Frédéric Malle has made a tremendous impact, “putting the perfumers at the forefront of every fragrance.”
Born into a French family of industrialists, artists and perfumers, fragrance has always been an integral part of Frédéric Malle’s life. When he joined the prestigious perfume laboratory Roure Bertrand Dupont in 1988, he represented the third generation of perfume specialists in his family, and befriended some of the most innovative and accomplished perfumers in the industry. He founded Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle in 2000 to showcase the extraordinary talents of these perfumers, at a time when many companies were focusing on the brand image rather than the product itself. As a perfume publisher, Frédéric Malle collaborates with exceptional perfumers directly to lead them into new olfactory territories, giving them total creative freedom to produce unique works of art sold under their own names. Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle joined the Estée Lauder Companies portfolio of prestige brands in 2015.
Frédéric Malle will be honored at The Fragrance Foundation Awards, which will be held on June 12 at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. Award-winning actress Jane Krakowski will host the awards, where Ann Gottlieb, perfume strategist and Hall of Fame Honoree and Olivier Cresp, Firmenich Master Perfumer and recipient of the Lifetime Perfumer Achievement award will also be honored.
The Fragrance Foundation will soon release ticket and participation rates for The Fragrance Foundation Awards.
