On July 2, 2018, the top management of Chromavis-Fareva—Jean-Pierre Fraisse, vice president of operations of Fareva, and Fabrizio Buscaini, CEO of Chromavis, unveiled plans regarding the new headquarters of Chromavis in Italy, with the first images of the new building. A grandiose “black mineral-like” compound will rise from the surrounding natural environment. This new plant in Offanengo will be completed by early 2020.
Conceptually developed by Chromavis with EBA Engineering of Crema, it is an architectural project “unprecedented in the sector, and represents the character of a company that is definitely future-driven, in constant expansion and increasingly projected towards creativity and innovation.” The new building, destined to become a landmark in Cosmetic Valley, will group together on a single site all the offices and current production units of Vaiano Cremasco, Chieve and Crespiatica.
“It will be a real hub of innovation, which will bring together the two great souls of the company: expert artisanal creativity and the impressive industrial machine,” explained Fabrizio Buscaini, the CEO of Chromavis. He continued: “A laboratory of ideas that can produce in a very short time all types of product, managing the supply chain from the conception of the formula to when the products are put on the market. Inside the factory there will be a mini-factory totally dedicated to product industrialization, to speed up the processes and ensure maximum productive efficiency, while protecting flexibility.”
The plant will stand on an area of 100,000 sq. meters, with 50,000 sq. meters being built first. It will be surrounded by lush nature in the form of gardens and terraces, a large park to stroll in the greenery, and a canteen for the employees to relax in nature. Light will feature in all the areas, including in those for production.
“The objective,” explained Fabrizio Buscaini, is to create a healthy, pleasant and safe workplace, characterized by sustainability, where employees and clients will be proud to work. The important economic investment is completely self-financed by the Fareva Group, of which Chromavis represents excellence in the makeup sector and shows the desire to continue investing in Italy, focusing on its history, know-how and the people who belong to it.”
Work on the site started in May; by the end of 2019 the plant will be completed and it will be active by January 2020.
