Method has partnered with the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco (SFMOMA) to launch its first-ever glass bottle. It's called the 'Glass for Good' bottle, and all proceeds will directly benefit SFMOMA's arts education programs.
Jana Machin, director of the SFMOMA Museum Stores says, "Since method has generously donated the glass bottles, the profits from each sale directly benefit our education programs, which serve more than 60,000 students, teachers and families each year."
The refillable bottle features glistening facets, and a matte copper-colored pump. Its design is based on Method's iconic teardrop-shaped hand soap bottle. Truly a 'limited edition,' only 5,000 were created.
Method designer Sean McGreevy says, "As we thought about how to approach method's first glass bottle in collaboration with such a distinguished partner as SFMOMA, I wanted the design to draw a strong link to nature. The end result was heavily inspired by gems and how they are cut in a way that maximizes reflections and internal luminosity."
The bottle comes filled with Method's signature naturally-derived, biodegradable formula in "violet noir," an elegant fragrance with notes of violet leaf, lavender and cedarwood.
The method x SFMOMA 'Glass for Good' bottle is available exclusively through the SFMOMA Museum Store in downtown San Francisco, and online. It retails for $15.
