Grace Beauty is a new beauty brand with a mission to make makeup easy to apply for anyone with disabilities, such as arthritis or cerebral palsy.
Shown above are its first three tools, all designed to attach to your own mascara by slipping it over the wand's cap. They are different shapes, depending on which is more comfortable for you to hold.
The Square Grip, shown above on far right, attaches to both the mascara's cap and bottle to make it easy to open, hold, and control when applying. It has a rubbery feel.
The Safe Grip, shown above on far left, is described in an Instagram post as: "...easy to hold, gives a wide angled grip and ensures better control for all kinds of users. Material is rubbery, flexible but hard which will ensure a grip even though the fingers can’t wrap fully around the grip."
The Ring Grip, shown above, center, is a general aid for anyone, the brand says -- disability or not. It's a small rubber band with a ring. The band will stretch to fit a wide range of mascara brands. When attached to your mascara's cap, slip the ring through your finger and you'll have more control when applying -- plus, you won't ever have to worry about dropping it on a dirty floor.
Grace Beauty also runs the closed Facebook Group -- Community for Accessible Beauty, and says, "Join the movement and be part of building accessible beauty products." The team at Grace will no doubt use comments and input from the group's members when designing new tools and accessories.
Grace Beauty is based in the UK. The brand's website still says, "coming soon" -- but reports say the beauty tools will be available to ship worldwide on June 3.
