Known for its light-hearted, luxe products and packaging, Winky Lux has now teamed up with Replenysh, “the world’s only circulatory platform,” to pick up beauty empties directly from consumers’ doorsteps and recycle them as repurposed items.
Replenysh says it is building the operating system of material recovery — using technology to put an end to landfills and ocean pollution.
In addition, each donation of recycled products through Replenysh will earn the consumer 100 Winky Lux Reward points. There are just 3 easy steps for the consumer to follow:
Step 1: Compile all of the empty cosmetics you want to recycle.
Step 2: Log on to Winkylux.com and tell them exactly where and when to pick up.
Step 3: Place the products outside your door for a courier to pick up.
Once the products are in Replenysh’s hands, products are taken to a local site where the materials are “upcycled” into another product, rather than just getting thrown into a landfill.
