CVS has named Nyma Tang, an outspoken advocate for change, as its first-ever beauty inclusivity consultant.
With over 1.5 million followers across YouTube and Instagram, Tang inspires her community to embrace authenticity, while advocating for diversity and inclusion in beauty and beyond.
Tang also teamed up with TULA Skincare to create the new 'You Dew You' #EmbraceYourSkin kit.
About Nyma Tang
Since launching her critically acclaimed YouTube series, “The Darkest Shade,” in 2017, Tang has celebrated several major milestones in her mission to impact positive industry change. She recently collaborated with MAC on a lipstick that sold out almost immediately after launch, has been named a top Black Creator to follow by multiple media outlets and debuted as an SI Swim 2021 Rookie.
Tang has been a CVS partner since 2018, when she became one of the first influencer partners to support the CVS Beauty Mark. Her industry presence helped magnify this important mental health-focused initiative.
In her new role, Tang will provide a unique point of view as CVS continues to make actionable change to better serve the diverse range of beauty customers entering its doors each day.
As CVS’ beauty inclusivity consultant, she’ll lead meaningful programming, including:
- Inclusivity Leadership: Ongoing counsel and discussions with CVS Executives surrounding key considerations towards enhancing diversity in its beauty aisles, brand partners and marketing.
- Internal Education: Monthly workshops with CVS beauty teams to inspire further advancement and inform decisions and programming across marketing channels, in-store and online.
- Identifying New Brands: Expert guidance around the discovery and expansion of Black-owned beauty brands, as well as products that meet the needs of ALL beauty customers, on CVS shelves.
- Interactive Experiences: Launch of the “CVS Beauty x Nyma Tang Masterclass Series,” which will spotlight Black industry talent and leaders across the beauty and wellness categories, highlighting their accomplishments, creativity, and unique perspectives.
