Ukachi Anonyuo has been appointed as vice president, Global Packaging Innovation Strategy & Portfolio Management, at the Estée Lauder Companies, effective July 1, 2021. She will report directly to Daniel Ramos Day, SVP, Global Packaging, and join the Packaging Leadership Team.
In this expanded role, Anonyuo will lead the end-to-end strategic program and portfolio management initiatives across all functions of the Global Packaging Enterprise including Brand Development, Category Innovation, Channel Innovation, Design/Upstream, Devices, Material Sciences, Engineering, Value Realization and Optimization, and Sustainability. Embedded in Brand Innovation & Development, she will drive the critical path as well as KPIs impacting pipeline, sufficiency, and cost savings initiatives.
“Ukachi is a dynamic, agile, intuitive, and strategic professional leader with a proven track record for delivering actionable and measurable results,” said Daniel Ramos Day. “For the past 15 years at ELC, Ukachi has held several Brand Packaging roles in Prescriptives, Clinique, Estée Lauder and Tom Ford with increased responsibility throughout. Most recently as Executive Director, Global Packaging Innovation & Portfolio Management she identified, facilitated, and drove the harmonization of Brand Innovation strategies, upstream Packaging Innovation initiatives and portfolio sufficiency opportunities across our Portfolio of Brands. Prior to joining ELC she held various Engineering positions at Avon Products and Del Labs.”
Experience
Anonyuo has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering as well as an MBA in Marketing from Rutgers University. She has been actively involved in several of ELC’s Employee Resource Groups (ERG) at ELC, taking on leadership roles as one of the original co-chairs of both NOBLE (The Network of Black Leaders & Executives) and WLN (The Women’s Leadership Network). In her current ERG role as a WLN Global Advisor, she leads the expansion and strategic harmonization initiatives across all regions. Additionally, she sits on various external Advisory Boards including the Cosmetic Industry of Buyers and Sellers (CIBS) and Rutgers University among others.
Anonyuo has received several awards recognitions over the years including America On Tech’s 2018 Innovator and Disruptor Award, The Network Journal’s “40 under Forty” Award and has been featured in Essence Magazine as well as several beauty industry publications.
