Fenty Icon Refillable Lipstick Debuts in Matte Black

Fenty Beauty—recently named our Beauty Company of the Year— launched a new Fenty Icon refillable lipstick case—in chic matte black. The original design is this glamorous metallic rose gold hue.

Now, beauty fans can carry two different Fenty lipsticks in their makeup bags, and will be able to easily tell them apart.

Fenty Beauty is a partnership between LVMH and Rihanna, musician-turned-billionaire beauty mogul. And, the brand recently rolled out to Ulta Beauty stores. 

Rihanna stated in a press release, "Black is always sexy. Black is always iconic. I wanted to find a way for you to add some black into your beauty and into your style that’s fun and fully customizable – that’s why I made the Fenty Icon Lipstick Case in matte black.” 

Like the metallic rose gold, the new black case is compatible with all Fenty Icon refillable lipstick bullets.

Although it is beautifully designed, consumers may need instructions. Here's how the refillable case works:

How to Refill the Fenty Icon Lipstick Case

• Slide the bullet base out, remove the cap from the new liptick refill, and attach it to the base. When it clicks, it's securely connected.


• Make sure the new lipstick bullet is twisted all the way down before inserting it into the case, and then pop it into place.  


• Twist the base to the left to lift bullet and apply. 

Fenty Icon cases ($12) and lipstick refills ($20) are sold separately. The brand says refillable packaging is part of Fenty Beauty's earth-conscious evolution to reduce waste.
