Marc Gallagher, former Chief Brand and Digital Officer at Elemis, has joined UK skincare brand Facetheory as its first ever Chief Marketing Officer.
Jamie Shuker, Founder and CEO of Facetheory, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Marc into the executive leadership team and onto the Board. This is a crucial moment in Facetheory’s history as we are chasing aggressive growth through an omnichannel approach, moving away from our roots as just a digital native brand. With the appointment of Marc, we are confident we have all the right experience on board to help Facetheory thrive.”
"Skincare is a highly competitive category, but once in a while you see a brand that just cuts through. Facetheory’s effective formulations, loyal customer community, social media presence, accessible price point and commitment to clean and vegan practices makes it poised for phenomenal growth. I’m excited to be part of Jamie’s team to take Facetheory to the next level,” Gallagher remarked.
Before joining Elemis in 2019, Gallagher was the VP of Global Digital and Ecommerce at luxury menswear brand John Varvatos. Prior to that, he had worked with the LVMH group for nearly 10 years pioneering digital strategies for Benefit Cosmetics and Marc Jacobs and most recently the VP of Global Digital and Ecommerce of Fresh.
He brings a wealth of agency experience, creating award-winning customer experience innovations for brands including Samsung, Sony, Nokia, Time Warner and eBay.
Facilitating Global Retail Expansion
Gallagher will oversee all global marketing, D2C sales, creative and new product development, with the aim to support Facetheory’s move from a digital native company to a major omnichannel global beauty player. Earlier this year, the company signed an exclusive retail partnership with Sephora Asia, signifying a major milestone in Facetheory’s international retail expansion.Jamie Shuker, Founder and CEO of Facetheory, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Marc into the executive leadership team and onto the Board.
