L’Oréal Paris has named South African actress Thuso Mbedu as a new brand ambassador and spokesperson for the brand in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
Mbedo rose to prominence for her performance in the South African teen drama series Is'Thunzi for which she was nominated consecutively for an International Emmy in 2017 and 2018. Mbedu later appeared on the 2018 Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list.
Most recently, she appeared in The Underground Railroad (2021) and The Woman King (2022).
In addition to her successful international acting career, Mbedu is passionate about empowering women and girls by providing them with educational resources alongside the non-profit organization Save The Children.
