In Q1, Europe and the United States achieved growth of a constant currency, Japan recorded double-digit revenue growth and the rest of Asia reflected strong growth.
The group’s Perfumes & Cosmetics business saw a growth of 7% due to its selective distribution strategy.
Christian Dior had exceptional performance due to Sauvage, J’adore and Miss Dior fragrances as well as the new Miss Dior Parfum edition, which showed positive results.
Q1 saw a large demand in Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria fragrances, which released a new Florabloom version. The Parfums Givenchy brand boosted sales for LVMH with the expansion of its L’Interdit fragrance. Maison Francis Kurkdjian posted solid growth, driven by its Baccarat Rouge 540.
Rouge Dior relaunched and Capture skincare, which contributed to growth in the Cosmetics category. Guerlain’s Abeille Royale creams and Terracotta bronzer were also successful in makeup.
The Selective Retailing category saw organic revenue growth of 11% in the first quarter of 2024. Sephora once again achieved remarkable growth, continuing to gain market share. Growth remained particularly strong in North America, Europe and the Middle East.
