Cetaphil Gets a Makeover During the second quarter of 2002, Cetaphil will roll out updated packaging featuring the brand’s blue and turquoise-green colors, but with select items highlighted in yellow, orange or magenta to enhance eye appeal and brand consistency. “We want to make sure that this benefit is clearly visible to anyone who looks at the front of any of the products,” explained Trey Schultz, product manager of parent company Galderma Laboratories. The Cetaphil line contains products such as Cetaphil Gentle skin cleanser, Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer with Parsol 1790 SPF 15 and Cetaphil Antibacterial cleansing bar. Eastar Tapped for Ghost Cap The house of Ghost by Scannon SA, developed by Rochas, France, chose Eastar copolyester from Eastman Chemical Company to form the cap of Ghost fragrance. The cap is transparent with a matte/frosted surface that reveals an internal metallized insert inside. The copolyester was chosen for its chemical resistance, clarity and ease of processing. Polypropylene Towelette Containers Now Available from Expac Montvale, NJ-based Expac now offers polypropylene containers for disposable towelettes, such as makeup removers and facial cleansers, which can be customized with a logo area insert. Cantellos Opts for HCT’s Pure Range British make-up artist Linda Cantello chose pearlized white cases from HCT Packaging for her new coordinated range of cosmetics. The line, including lipstick, eye shadow, blush, loose powder and pressed powder, are packaged in containers from HCT’s “Pure” range, featuring elegant blue type. The bases of the containers have a contrasting tactile, soft-touch surface. The compacts hold a mirror. HCT, based in Bedminster, NJ, also provided the packaging design and production input for the range, which is launching in Bergdorf Goodman’s in the U.S. and in Space NK, a chain of cosmetic boutiques in the UK.
