Ronald Gee has been appointed chief financial officer for Shiseido Americas Corporation. He will lead the company’s finance and information technology operations and support regional integration efforts for Shiseido prestige brands in the Americas, including NARS Cosmetics, Bare Escentuals, Shiseido Cosmetics America and Beauté Prestige International USA. Gee joins Shiseido from Coty, Inc., where he served as chief financial officer of the Americas for three years and was responsible for leading the region’s strategic plan and commercial execution across the mass, prestige and salon channel businesses.
Crystal G. Thompson has joined the division as director of public relations. She is experienced in strategic public relations and cause marketing. Thompson previously worked with DeVries Global as account supervisor where she managed campaigns for a number of beauty and multicultural-targeted brands. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing public relations strategies for all brands within the Division, including Carol’s Daughter and Dark and Lovely.
Jill Scalamandre, has been named president of the newly created Global Makeup Center of Excellence at Shiseido Americas Corp. She will be charged with expanding the footprint of the color cosmetics business across Shiseido’s brands, and will report to Marc Rey, president and chief executive officer of Shiseido Americas. Scalamandre previously served at Coty as chief marketing officer of skin care and senior vice president of the Philosophy brand.
