The 8th edition of MakeUp in Paris will be held June 22-23 in the newly renovated Les Salles du Carrousel on the lower level of the Louvre Museum. The construction has enabled the show’s organizers to expand the exhibition area, which will accommodate an unprecedented 160 exhibitors this year.
New to this year’s show floor will be a sector dedicated to Cartons, as essential secondary packaging components in the makeup world, designed to enhance and protect products.
For the second year in a row, MakeUp in Paris will highlight digital beauty with a dozen start-ups demonstrating new apps and systems.
Almost 20 conferences and workshop sessions will focus on topics such as buying habits of Millennial consumers and speed-to-market. MakeUPigments will showcase top ingredients suppliers. An art exhibition will spotlight vintage makeup products from past centuries. As always, live makeup demos will energize the show floor during the two days.
Following the participation of the Chanel group in 2016, L’Oréal’s Luxe Division will be on-site at this year’s event with a lounge set up to host some of the top suppliers of the make-up industry.
CEW, supporters of MakeUp In… shows in the U.S., will collaborate on a program of activities during the two-days of the show.
Last but not least, according to Sandra Magourian, MakeUp In co-founder, “The IT products animation, revealing the most innovative makeup products, is set to be the super trendy ‘event within the event.’ ”
