Veil Cosmetics has launched a 100% vegan and cruelty-free skincare-infused powderless mattifier that works on all skin tones. AutoMatte ($39) not only combats oily skin and shine, but it also comes packed with multi-tasking benefits and Vitamin C and E to brighten, protect and clarify skin. The powderless and oil-free formula can be used as a primer to prevent oil buildup while blurring fine lines and pores, then used as a touchup to keep shine at bay. It can also be applied to lips and eyes. Best of all, shine is really gone.
The brand’s founder, makeup artist Sebastien Tardif selected a black sponge to make sure that the user could see the product on it for ease of use. “A white sponge, he says, “would have made it impossible to see anything since the AutoMatte base is practically clear.”
