Honors abound for Tom Ford this year. First the news that he’d been voted chairman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), succeeding Diane von Furstenberg. Now, The Fragrance Foundation has announced they will honor the internationally acclaimed fashion designer, film director and screenwriter, with the Hall of Fame Award at the 2019 Fragrance Foundation Awards on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at New York City’s David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.
Ford created Tom Ford Beauty in 2006, with the launch of Black Orchid, a scent that went on to receive global accolades, including several Fragrance Foundation Awards. He will join industry veterans such as Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Carolina Herrera and Estée Lauder in The Fragrance Foundation Hall of Fame.
