Blushington Makeup & Beauty Lounge, a beauty retailer that provides makeup application services, is opening it second location in New York City. The new location is on the upper East Side at 1195 Lexington Avenue. Blushington also has locations in Dallas and Los Angeles.
Led by Blushington's CEO Natasha Cornstein, the Upper East Side location is the brand's first retail flagship, representing "an evolution of the brand from a service destination to a fully integrated retail and services experience," the company states.
Cornstein says, "Whether our customers are spending the afternoon with us, popping in for an express service, refreshing their makeup bag or discovering new brands, the Blushington experience is always rewarding."
The retailer stocks niche beauty brands, including Becca, Jouer and Julie Hewett. The curated selection is chosen by founder and chief creative officer, Stephi Maron. Products are displayed throughout the lounge, encouraging interaction.
Maron says, "I want to make beauty as accessible and enjoyable for all women. I work carefully with my team of expert artists to select the best and most essential items. Our mission is to make women feel confident and beautiful."
Designing the Store's Concept
Blushington's new location also has a new design concept, created by RPG. Bruce Teitelbaum, founder & CEO, RPG, says, "The environment showcases an elegant, modern and glamorous lifestyle aesthetic. We paired Art Deco detailing with elements of Blushington's signature décor to create a fresh take on their existing design."
