Victoria's Secret (VS) model Maria Borges has been named as the new ‘face’ of L'Oréal Paris, joining Eva Longoria, Blake Lively, Jennifer Lopez, Doutzen Kroes and Liya Kebede.
In 2015, Borges drew attention as the first model to walk the VS show, sporting an afro. She has been modeling since 2010, when she won the Elite Model Angola search, and has walked the runway for Chanel, Balmain, and Givenchy. "I believe in the beauty of diversity and the empowering message that a girl who started from the bottom can be an international beauty symbol and be living proof that our dreams are valid, and the future ahead of us is bright," she said in a statement.
