The National Mother’s Day Committee, an entity of the Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council, held their 39th annual Outstanding Mother Awards Luncheon to recognize their 2017 honorees at the Pierre Hotel in New York City on May 8th. HCT Group attended the event, not only to honor the exceptional women being recognized but also to give back to an organization that gives so much to meaningful family-related philanthropies.
Anthony DeMarco, executive vice president of sales, HCT Group, commented, “HCT is a family-owned company that strives to give back to organizations like the Mother’s Day Council, which are committed to supporting families within the communities where our company is located, as well as across the globe. We proudly support this year’s 2017 honorees and would like to recognize our friend, Jane Hertzmark Hudis who is an outstanding mother and gracious contributor to both the Mother’s Day Council and the world of beauty. It is truly inspiring to see so many strong women who have successfully built their careers and nurtured their families while helping to improve the lives of others.”
The 2017 Honorees were:
Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Group President, The Estee Lauder Companies
Kate Oldham, SVP & GMM, Beauty, Lingerie, and Swim
Judy Schmeling, President, Cornerstone Brands & COO, HSN, Inc.
Kendra Scott, CEO and Founder, Kendra Scott, LLC.
The National Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, channels funds raised by the annual awards luncheons to help meaningful philanthropies dealing with issues affecting mothers, fathers and children. To date, the Council has donated over $30 million to deserving family-related charities nationwide.
The Outstanding Mother Awards luncheon benefited Save the Children's early childhood education, literacy, physical activity and nutrition and emergency response programs. In 2016, Save the Children reached an estimated 317,000 children across the United States.
