The Glam App Partnered with Byrdie UK during London Fashion Week, to open a pop-up salon for four days.
The salon, at the London Westbury Mayfair Hotel, was curated by The Glam App's CEO, co-founder and Cara Santana and chief creative officer, co-founder and stylist Joey Maalouf. Express hair, makeup, and nail services were offered to Fashion Week attendees.
"Byrdie Beauty UK is the go to digital platform for all things beauty. Collaborating together for LFW was a natural fit. We were so excited to bring on demand beauty and the Byrdie digital experience to Londoners," said Santana.
Amy Lawrenson, Editorial Director Byrdie UK, added, "Byrdie and The Glam App, both born out of Los Angeles, have worked together on many events stateside so we loved seeing them bring to life what they do best—making women feel their best—during LFW."
The UK is a major market for The Glam App, comprising over 80,000 of their users. "The Brits have always epitomized glamour and elegance, so naturally we chose to activate in London. As one of our top 5 markets, it's proven to be a synergetic decision," noted Santana.
As far as LFW beauty trends, co-founder Joey Maalouf, whose roster includes Rachel Zoe, Goldie Hawn, and Kendall Jenner, commented, "I love the individuality and confidence UK style has. It's a story where fashion + beauty meet self-expression. For Nails, painted on geometric shapes and crackled metallic stripes. For makeup, The 90s are back! Grunge eye-makeup looks with a twist -- glossy pink eyelids and a smoked out bottom lash line. For hair, a wearable crimped wet look and 90s super model inspired blowouts are the statement of the season."
