The Cosmetic Industry Buyers & Suppliers Organization (CIBS) will launch their 2018 luncheon program on February 13 with a special guest speaker. Sumita Banerjee senior vice president, Talent Acquisition, L'Oreal Americas will address attendees at the networking event that will take place 12:00- 2:00 at the group’s new luncheon venue at Bond 45 on West 46th St. in Manhattan.
As the senior vice president of Talent Acquisition for L’Oreal Americas, Sumita has responsibility for hiring and talent pipelining across Marketing, Sales, E-Commerce, Creative, Finance, Operations, HR, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Research & Innovation – from campus through the hiring of senior experienced professionals across all functions. She has built and led this function for the U.S. group since 2010 with a key focus on direct sourcing, actively seeking out top talents for the L’Oreal group across a diversity of industries and backgrounds. In the past seven years, over 4,000 new talents have been hired into L’Oreal USA under her passionate leadership.
Sumita’s L'Oreal journey began in 2000 and has included experiences in New Product Launch Management, Package Development and Business Development across Consumer Products Division (L'Oreal Paris, Maybelline NY and Garnier) as well as Professional Products Division (Redken, Matrix, Mizani, Kerastase, L'Oreal Professional). She has had the opportunity to motivate and lead strong and diverse teams with responsibility for Global new product launch management and ongoing product/package improvement for brands representing US sales of one billion dollars+ annually. Sumita is a Packaging Engineering graduate from Rutgers University and has had work experience at Colgate Palmolive, in Manufacturing Engineering at the Estee Lauder Companies and as a Packaging Engineer at BMS Worldwide Beautycare.
