Lanvin SA has announced the appointment of Jean-Philippe Hecquet as Chief Executive Officer of the company.
Hecquet comes to Lanvin with over 20 years' experience in the luxury fashion sector. He spent the past four years as Global CEO of Sandro, where he grew the business y over 20% every year -- developing the French brand into a global fashion powerhouse across 43 countries with over 600 stores.
Prior, he enjoyed a hugely successful career at Louis Vuitton (LVMH), where he served multiple different roles in the span of over 14 years. Starting out as Vice President of Operations in Paris and North America, Hecquet moved on to become General Manager of Louis Vuitton Canada, followed by International Retail Director at Tag Heuer.
Joann Cheng, Chairwoman of Fosun Fashion Group and Lanvin comments, "We believe this is a powerful and exciting moment for Lanvin, signaling the beginning of a new chapter. We are convinced that Jean-Philippe's extensive international experience in the luxury fashion industry, his strong entrepreneurship, and his proven managerial skills will be major assets in developing and accelerating Lanvin's business."
Hecquet says, "I am truly delighted to take up this new challenge...The heritage of Lanvin is rich and prestigious. And its DNA is unique, which gives us a beautiful opportunity to breathe new life into the oldest and perhaps most revered of the French fashion houses."
Next, the company states, "With Lanvin's new CEO now in office, the appointment of a Creative Director to the house becomes the priority."
