L'Oreal's AcneFree skincare brand says it is promoting 'skin positivity' -- and partnering with actress, musician, and Instagram Influencer Laura Marano to help spread the word.
Marano recently starred in Lady Bird, and is known for television's Austin & Ally. She will star in AcneFree's campaign videos to promote the importance of balanced care when treating oily and acne prone skin. The goal of the campaign is to destigmatize acne by normalizing it.
Marano says, "...I was excited when AcneFree approached me. They're all about education to help us make the right decisions to treat – and care – for our skin, and that philosophy of empowerment really resonated with me."
Carole Diarra, Brand Vice President for AcneFree explains, "There are a lot of myths and misinformation out there. We are excited to work with Laura to clear up confusion and become a trusted source to a younger generation, advocating for dermatologist-inspired products and reliable, honest advice about acne."
Marano will play an integral role in the brand's efforts to reach Gen Z and millennials over the next year - encouraging them to 'embrace their face.'
