She and her twin sister launched the company in the 1970s.

Jean Ford who founded Benefit Cosmetics with her twin sister in the mid-1970s in San Francisco, has passed away at 71 years old from cancer. She is survived by her identical twin Jane Ford and her daughters Ann and Maggie Ford Danielson.The company was later purchased by LVMH, with the daughters maintaining strong roles.
