Garnier has a sustainability mission: by the end of this year, it is committed to using 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) waste for its Fructis Sleek & Shine Shampoo, Conditioner, and Leave-In Conditioner bottles.
Fructis Sleek & Shine is Garnier's best-selling line, and is produced in a zero waste facility with packaging that currently contains 50% PCR waste. The formula uses sustainably sourced Argan Oil from Southwest Morocco.
The Garnier Mobile Green House Tour
To celebrate the news, and in just in time for Earth Month in April, Garnier's Mobile Green House Tour is traveling to six retailers in 22 locations across the U.S. The tour began on March 17th at CVS in South Beach, Miami. Stops include Michigan, Texas, Arkansas, and more -- before ending at L'Oréal USA's Hudson Yards headquarters in New York City on Earth Day, April 22nd.
Guests visting the Greenhouse will receive samples, coupons, and can view live product and recycling demonstrations -- plus take part in interactive "ingredient experiences."
A New Tagline: By Garnier, Naturally
The brand is also promoting its new tagline -- By Garnier, Naturally.
Anncy Rowe, senior vice president of marketing for Garnier, says, "Garnier's mission is to develop beauty products that are both good for you and good for the planet."
Rowe continues, "The announcement of our new signature, 100% PCR initiative for Fructis Sleek & Shine and the Greenhouse Tour serves as a commitment to our customers that we continue to aspire to bring the highest quality, most efficacious naturally-inspired formulas in the most sustainable quality packaging to the masses at a price point that's attainable."
