CES 2020 will take place January 7-10 in Las Vegas, and will feature the latest and greatest tech innovations.

The CES Innovation Awards program, produced by the Consumer Technology Association, will showcase outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products across 28 product categories, including Health and Wellness.  

The Innovation Award Honorees were chosen by a panel of judges who reviewed submissions  based on engineering qualities, aesthetic and design, functionality and consumer appeal.

A few of the CES 2020 Innovation Award Honorees in the Health & Wellness category are listed below.

Lumini Home

Lumini Home is an AI Beauty & Lifestyle Assistant. The customized skincare solution that uses artificial intelligence to scan the user's skin in 10 seconds, to analyze it and recommend the right cosmetics for your skin type.

Lumini was developed by Lululab, a beauty AI startup that the company says is a spin-off of C-Lab, the in-house venture company program of Samsung Electronics.

Pragrant Electric Deodorant

Pragrant Electric Deodorant by Hanyang University can sterilize and purify odors using plasma medicine technology. The company says there is no discomfort while using it, without wetness or stickiness. It can also detect the degree of odors, and can be set by time and intensity.  

Opte Precision Skincare System, Gen 2

The Opte Precision Skincare System Generation 1 debuted last year, as the 
first personalized handheld inkjet printer to instantly make the appearance of the skin’s hyperpigmentation disappear, as well as fade spots over time. Now, Gen 2 is 70% less expensive, processes skin images 30% faster, has an improved user interface with an upgraded OLED display. It is also more portable, and now has connectivity capabilities for a better user experience.

The system includes The Opte Wand, which scans the skin with an enhanced digital camera that captures 200 frames per second to instantly analyze each image using a proprietary algorithm. It detects tonal imperfections not visible to the human eye.

Using input from the algorithm, Opte precisely prints droplets of Spot Optimizing Serum on target areas of the skin, until there is a perfect color match with the surrounding skin tone. It  corrects, in real time, sun damage and hyperpigmentation, while fading spots over time. 

Skiin Connected Health & Wellness System

The Skiin Connected Health & Wellness System by Myant Inc. provides a continuous connection to your body, to measure heart rate, stress, temperature, activity, sleep stage, and more. The system includes a variety of clothing options that can track your health including underwear, a bra, a polo shirt, and a sleep mask. These monitoring garments connect to the Skiin App, which can suggest lifestyle changes.
