Citing “mounting coronavirus concerns” as the reason, the Cosmetic Industry Buyers & Suppliers (CIBS) 2020 Spring Cocktail event that was scheduled to be held on March 26th has been cancelled.
While the event will not be held this year, the venue has agreed to let CIBS move it to March 2021 on the same day. An announcement will be made later this year.
For members and attendees who have already paid by check or online, CIBS is offering the option of either having a credit with CIBS for future events or receiving a check refund.
“We look forward to this crisis being over soon so we can return to our normal lives. We urge you to be cognizant or your surroundings when in public and take all precautionary measures to prevent transmission. Be safe!” 2020 CIBS president Judy Vincenty said in a statement.
