Bésame Cosmetics, an LA-based brand known for glamorous and vintage-inspired makeup products, is launching another collection celebrating Iconic Women. The brand has unveiled a 15-piece collection, which includes recreations of Marilyn Monroe’s own makeup, based on items from her personal effects, which will be available on April 23.
 
"We've designed this makeup collection to feature Marilyn's favorite colors and historically accurate products," said Gabriela Hernandez, founder of Bésame Cosmetics. Hernandez is a makeup historian and sits on the board of the Makeup Museum in NYC.
 
"These colors are authentic, and we are incredibly proud to be releasing them as they are a reflection of Marilyn and her personal style. Wearing her makeup is a way to celebrate who she was, and her influence over the world of personal beauty," Hernandez added.

About the Collection
 
The Bésame Cosmetics 15-piece Marilyn Monroe Collection is sold in three special sets: “Marilyn's Cosmetic Valet Case,” “The Essential Marilyn Collection" and the "Red Carpet Compact and Lipstick Set."
 
All makeup items in the collection are cruelty-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, mineral-oil free and sustainably made in California.
 
Marilyn's Cosmetic Valet Case
 
This complete set comes in a limited-edition box made of Sapele mahogany and includes a golden metal signature embedded on top of high gloss varnish, velvet interior and gold-plated clasps. Only 200 Marilyn’s Cosmetic Valet Cases will be available.

• Refillable Metal Compact with Silver Screen Powder: A translucent powder to set makeup and blur fine lines and pores. The octagonal compact with black floral design is based on a compact from Marilyn Monroe’s personal collection. The refillable compact is plated with gold and can be refilled with any Bésame powder refill. The top features black enamel over sculpted gold flowers with added Swarovski crystals.
• Girl's Best Friend Mascara: This black mascara is made with natural ingredients to give you dark, glamorous lashes and is safe for sensitive eyes. The mascara is encased in a golden tube and adorned with Marilyn Monroe’s signature.
• Misty Coral Lipstick: This light coral lipstick is based on a shade Marilyn wore throughout the early 1960s. It has a creamy texture and long-lasting satin finish.
• Carnation Red Lipstick: This pink/red ultra-pigmented lipstick is based on a favorite shade of Marilyn Monroes’.
• Red Hot Red Lipstick: Red Hot Red is a true fire engine red hue, a deep, brilliant color with a warm, yellow-toned base. Enriched with plant based squalane and vitamin E, Red Hot Red is based on Marilyn’s lipstick in Some Like It Hot.
• Lip Liner Pencils - Berry & Melon: Made to pair with Misty Coral and Carnation Red, these wooden lip pencils make it easy to get Marilyn’s signature lips. The rich berry color deepens a red lip, while the Melon tone adds a touch of pink.
