Beauty retailer Violet Grey hosted a private dinner on November 14th to celebrate the launch of Kim Kardashian West's new fragrance, KKW Crystal Gardenia.
The fragrance can be sampled exclusively at a two-week pop-up shop at Violet Grey's store on Melrose Place in California. The bottle, shown above, looks just like a crystal -- and is decorated with the initials, KKW.
Violet Grey also features Kardashian West in its Woman Made Series, which profiles female beauty entrepreneurs.
The celebratory dinner was hosted by Violet Grey's founder, Cassandra Grey. Grey comments, "Kim's story is inspiring because it combines talent, know-how, and above all, hard work. The journey behind Crystal Gardenia struck me as not only being entrepreneurial, but deeply personal too, and I wanted to share that story. I envisioned Violet Grey for women like her, and with the Women Made series, I hope to shine a light on the stories that honor the female entrepreneurial spirit."
Kardashian West describes the fragrance development process, saying, "It felt really good to know I had full control, from what I wanted the campaign to look like, the bottle to look like, and the scent to smell like. Gardenia has always been my favorite scent; I have memories of my dad always having gardenias in the house." Mert & Marcus shot the campaign.
