The upcoming Foreo UFO facial device made an appearance at New York Fashion Week last week, partnering with design powerhouse Victoria Beckham for her Autumn Winter 2018 show, held at the elite James A. Burden Mansion on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
The Foreo UFO recently debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, but this was the first time it was used publicly.
As the exclusive skincare partner of the Autumn / Winter 2018 runway show, all models backstage were primed and prepped for the catwalk using the UFO device. The models received a full spa-level facial treatment with the device in just 80 seconds. Foreo calls the treatment "the world's first smart mask."
Paul Peros, CEO, Foreo, says, "There really is no other device in the world that can prep a troupe of models before one of the most highly anticipated runway shows in the whole of New York Fashion Week. Conventional face masks take up to 20 minutes to have an, and there's no time for that!"
How It Works
The UFO has all the benefits expected with a Foreo invention including a medical grade silicone body, plus a 100% waterproof design and USB-charging.
The new UFO device combines LED light therapy with cryo-therapy, thermo-therapy and T-Sonic pulsations and perfectly activates the UFO-invented 'Make My Day' sheet mask acting as a conductor. The UFO Make My Day treatment begins with 30 seconds of Thermo-Therapy and red LED light to prep the skin and open the pores.
The device over the next 30 seconds integrates T-Sonic pulsations into the treatment to heighten the absorption of the mask essence. The final 30 seconds switch to a green LED treatment and lower frequency pulsations, to even skin tone and add that radiant boost.
Set to retail at $279 USD, the device will be shipping globally by the second week of April, 2018.
